Biography
Growing up in Joliet, Montana, Martin developed diverse interests, from football to theater. Influenced by his mother’s dedication as a nurse from Helena and his father’s craftsmanship from Dublin, Ireland, he learned the values of empathy and precision. This foundation, combined with his early passion for storytelling—evidenced by his screenwriting during his time at Carroll College—shaped his approach to law: understanding the story and crafting compelling legal narratives and strategies.
After thirteen years in the restaurant industry and obtaining his biology degree, Martin pursued law in Missoula. He views his role as both an advisor and a counselor, aiming to provide valuable service to his clients.
His practice includes intellectual property, software, and related litigation. He also dedicates time to complex litigation, including class actions. Clients rely on Martin’s ability to dissect complex issues, his unwavering commitment to achieving favorable outcomes, his meticulous attention to detail, and his leashed tenacity.
Outside of work, Martin finds balance in Montana’s wilderness, enjoying backpacking, hunting, and fly-fishing. He also values his connection to the community, including supporting the Griz and local non-profits.
